Kulturwissenschaftliche Iranforschung
From the 1980s and well into the 1990s the Iranian novelists tried to experiment with the form of the novels in a quest of the new Iranian novel that could appeal to the international audience, too. This trend seems now to have weakened and the older novel forms like the family novel and the historical novel has been re-introduced. The presentation of Bâmdâd-e Khomâr by Fattâne Hâj Seyyed Javâdi and Âbi va Surati by Nâhid Tabâtabâ'i aims at explaining this development and its reasons.
